The launch ceremony of four books by Thought Poet Dr.Kavidasan was held in Coimbatore
Coimbatore, August 29, 2026 – The launch ceremony of four books written by Thought Poet Dr.Kavidasan and two author’s in Coimbatore, namely ‘Vetri Paditkattugal’, ‘Vetriin Vidhaikal 100’, ‘Sikaram Thodu’ and ‘Vetriipathai’, was held at the RV Hotel, in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore.
Dr. Viswanathan, Head of the Tamil Department of Sri Ramakrishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, delivered the welcome address.
Sri Sasikumar, Founder of Gnana Sanjeevanam Gurukulam, Coimbatore, delivered the felicitation address.
The book ‘Vetripathi’ was introduced by the Principal of Coimbatore Pioneer Arts and Science College, Dr. Murugesan.
Mrs.Padmavathy, a Tamil literary scholar and author from Mannargudi, gave an introductory speech on the book ‘Vetri padikattugal, and Dr. Karunanidhi, a Tamil teacher at Sachidananda Jyothi Nikethan International School, Mettupalayam, gave an introductory speech on the book ‘Vetriyin Vidhaikal 100’.
Dr. Pon. Shankar, a Tamil teacher from the same school, gave an introductory speech on the book ‘Sikaram Thodu’.
Speaking at the function, Dr. Kavidasan, the author of the books, director of Roots Groups and a poet of thought, said that today’s single-family lifestyle has created a situation where the young generation has to face various challenges. He said that the guidance and mental toughness that were present in joint family life are now decreasing, which sometimes leads to the youth taking dangerous decisions.
Therefore, he stressed the need to develop self-confidence and determination in the young generation, especially by regularly reading books that develop self-confidence, leadership qualities and the ability to face life.
Proposing the idea that “Paper is a weapon of victory if you touch it; if you continue to read it, it is a weapon of victory”, Kavidasan said that reading books not only develops knowledge, but also provides maturity and self-confidence to face the challenges of life.
Many people, including literary enthusiasts, academicians, readers and the general public, attended the launch ceremony of the four books.
