Coimbatore, September 26, 2026 – P K Das Deemed to be University, Coimbatore, marked a significant milestone in its journey towards international academic engagement by organising an MOU Signing Ceremony aimed at strengthening collaboration, knowledge exchange and new opportunities for the academic community.

The ceremony was held in the presence of distinguished international guests, including Mrs. Mitali G. Trochin, Indian Representative of the BRICS+ Consortium, and Mr. Victor Trochin, Russian national and International President – Team Member, Herbalife.

The event brought together prominent academic and institutional leaders, including Dr. P. Krishnakumar, Hon. Pro-Chancellor, P K Das Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu, and CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions; Dr. H. N. Nagaraja, Vice Chancellor, P K Das Deemed to be University, Coimbatore; and Mr. Andrei G. Trochin, Youth Member, BRICS+ International Consortium.

A key highlight of the programme was an inspiring expert interaction, during which the distinguished guests shared their professional journeys, experiences, achievements and valuable lessons with students and members of the academic community. The interaction provided students with valuable insights into professional development, international perspectives and the importance of developing a broader outlook in an increasingly interconnected world.

The MOU represents an important step towards creating avenues for academic collaboration, student engagement, knowledge exchange, cultural interaction and research collaboration. It is also expected to open new avenues for joint research initiatives, higher education, professional networking and potential international career and employment opportunities for students and graduates.

Speaking on the occasion, the University leadership emphasised the importance of strong international partnerships in providing students and faculty with wider exposure, collaborative opportunities and platforms to engage with institutions, researchers and professionals from different countries.

The collaboration reflects the University’s continued commitment to educational excellence, internationalisation, research advancement and student development. At its heart, the initiative is designed to benefit students by enabling them to learn beyond the classroom, participate in research and academic collaborations, interact with experienced professionals, explore higher education pathways and develop skills relevant to the evolving world of work.

The programme was wonderfully organised and coordinated under the leadership of Dr. A. Muralidharan, Director, Nehru Group of Institutions, with the active support and cooperation of all the Principals of the Nehru Group of Institutions. Their collective efforts contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
