Following a cheating complaint that was lodged against Tamil Nadu BJP Secretary and Director of Lotus TV Channel, G.K. Selvakumar, he is likely to file a defamation suit against the complainant Bharathi Mohan, former MD of the channel.

The complaint is that Selvakumar had forged Mohan’s signature and sold his shares worth Rs. 5 crore. The complaint was lodged today with the City Police Commissioner.

According to Selvakumar, Mohan left the channel some two years ago, after the management came to know about his “fraudulent indulgence in financial matters” of the company. “Moreover, I doubt there is such a huge share transaction of Rs. 5 crore in the company and this indicates his intention to defame me,” he said. Stating that it was not fair to comment more on the issue of shares, since there was a case pending in the court, Selvakumar said that he was going to file a defamation case against Mohan, after consulting with his lawyers.
