A bill collector attached to Tirupur Corporation was arrested today, while allegedly accepting bribe for an official favour.

Based on a complaint by one Veluchamy that the bill collector, Sanjeevi Kumar was demanding Rs.10,000, the sleuths of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption laid a trap and asked him to give marked notes, police said.

As Veluchami was giving money, the sleuths, who were hiding, caught the bill collector, red handed. Further investigations were on, they said.
