The BJP state unit vice president, Vanati Srinivasan informed that the BJP’s manifesto ‘with a difference’ for the upcoming Tamil Nadu state assembly elections will be released in another 15 days.

The manifesto panel, headed by the BJP national secretary H. Raja, is being given its final touches, she informed.

About the poll alliances, she said that the talks are still on. While answering to questions about the ongoing fishermen crisis, Vanathi said that the NDA government had succeeded in preventing the killing of the fishermen and informed that the centre was holding talks with the Sri Lankan government to resolve the issue.

To a question on the remarks made by BJP leader Raja about CPI leader D. Raja over the JNU issue, she said that some leaders have their unique style of speaking and if they had made any mistakes, they will definitely face the consequences.

On the issue of releasing the seven convicted in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, Vanathi said that the centre had already made its stand clear and the matter was in the Supreme Court.
