Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced today that it will design and launch three-year degree course in various disciplines for the students.

The company has already introduced courses like financial accounting and insurance, with its own curriculum, keeping in mind the changing job market. Rajiv Noronha, TCS Vice President and Head, Organizational Effectiveness, said that the company will soon introduce degree courses like B.Com, BBA and Specialised BPS.

Addressing the media after signing an MOU with Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science to introduce courses in financial accounting, Noranha said that TCS aims at getting 10,000 students register for this course by 2020.

Noronha expressed hope that India will become a dominant player in the world economy due to various programmes like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Startup India.’

He also warned the students to not constantly switch jobs and added that more than one million people will lose their jobs due to automation in near future.
