EC officials search residence of Annur DMK leader

The officials of the election department are carrying out a search in the house of a DMK leader in nearby Annur, following reports that money was being kept there.
Based on a tip-off that large amount of money is stashed in the house of DMK member Shanmugham, the officials of the Election Commission, accompanied by the police, are carrying out the search in the house.
Income Tax department officials have also been informed, they said.
