A 101-year-old woman cast her vote in Veeratchimangalam in Dharapuram Constituency in Tirupur. She was bodily lifted by her grandson and taken to booth.

There were heated arguments between voters and a poll official, when he insisted for EPIC to cast their votes in Velampalayam in Tirupur North.

The polling officer refused to allow nearly 100 voters, who had come with booth slips, to cast their votes. As there was heated argument between them, senior poll officials intervened and allowed the voters.

There was power problem in many areas coming under Singanallur constituency, during which polling has to be stopped.
