55-year old milk vendor found murdered

The body of a milk vendor from the city was found with stab injuries under a bridge near Pollachi in the district, today.
The passersby noticed the body this morning, lying under a bridge in Negamam, some 30 Kms from here and informed police.
Senior police officials including SP, Ramya Bharathi rushed to the spot and sniffer dog was pressed into service, police said.
The body has been identified as that of Nagaraj, aged 55 years, a resident of Chokkampudur in the city, they said.
Nagaraj, a milk vendor by profession, had left home early today and was done to death with lethal weapons. Further investigations are on.
