Out of the 887 candidates who had applied for the post of Block Health Statistician, only about 325 turned up for the written exams organised by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) in Coimbatore, on Sunday.

The exams were held in three centres, including Ranganathapuram Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School, R.S. Puram Corporation Boys Higher Secondary School, and S.R.B. Ammani Ammal Girls’ Higher Secondary School, in the city.

K. Arulmozhi, Chairman of T.N.P.S.C., inspected the exam centres. He said that TNPSC has been successfully conducting exams without any malpractice. “Candidates can believe in the commission. Those who are talented will definitely be posted,” he added.

The district administration had arranged special buses for the candidates to reach the exam centres without trouble. Adequate invigilation staff and electricity facility had also been provided by the administration, according to a release.
