A three-day expo on the innovations and latest advancements in trucks, trailers, and tyres is being organized in Coimbatore city from August 6 onwards.

In the first-of-its-kind expo, leading manufacturers of trucks, tyres, and trailers will put up their stalls.

Ram Soundalkar, the Director of Media Day Marketing (the organizers of the event), told news reporters that since India was expected to become one of the largest commercial vehicles markets in the world, there is tremendous scope for new opportunities for manufacturers and consumers. The Indian commercial vehicle market will double to 1.6 million units in the next five years, he added.

So far 80 companies from India and abroad have confirmed their participation, Soundalkar said. He expects the numbers to go up to 120.

The organizers are trying to rope in the Union Road Transport and Highways minister, Nitin Gadkari, to inaugurate the event.
