Governor visits Apollo Hospitals

Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao on Saturday visited Apollo Hospitals where Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has been admitted since September 22.

According to a statement from Raj Bhavan, the Governor was briefed by Apollo Hospitals chairman Pratap C. Reddy on the treatment given to Jayalalithaa.

Vidyasagar Rao also visited the ward where the Chief Minister was being treated and was happy to note that she was recovering well, the statement said.

Incidentally the Governor’s visit comes a day after DMK president and former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said the Governor has not gone and met Jayalalithaa, who has been in the hospital for more than a week.

The Governor, who was briefed by the hospital authorities about the treatment given to Jayalalithaa, also presented a basket of fruits and wished her a speedy recovery, according to the statement.

The Governor  thanked the doctors of Apollo Hospitals for taking him to the ward where the Chief Minister is being treated.
