The Third edition of the Under the Aalamaram, an international story telling festival organised by Kathai Kalatta, would be held in the city on October 20 and 21.

The contest, also to be held in Chennai and Pune, would be held at the PSGR Krishnammal College for women, according to a press release from Kathai Kalatta.

“Storytelling is the most interactive art of using words and actions, enriching and expanding listener’s imagination, an ideal method of presenting a story and a great tool to convey an important message,” the release read.

Children and adults who participate are also to be enriched by experts in the field of storytelling through workshops, it said.

While children between the age of five and eight would be in the junior level, children between nine and 14 would participate in the senior level.
