Headmaster arrested for molesting students in coonoor

Udhagamandalam: The headmaster of a primary school at Kottakal near Coonoor has been arrested for allegedly subjecting two of his students to molestation.
Police sources told Covai Post here on Tuesday that officials of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and Child Help Line had received complaints that D.Appusamy (48) headmaster of the CSI Primary School in Kottakal was molesting two girls studying in the third and fifth standards.They were children of labourers from Jharkhand working in the nearby tea
gardens.A case was registered by the Kollacombai police.
Following an enquiry conducted on Monday the headmaster was arrested and handed over to the All Women Police Wing in Coonoor.He was produced before the Mahila Court Magistrate here on Tuesday for Judicial remand.
