Residents of Kamarajapuram today filed a petition with the District Collector on Grievance day stating that photos taken by corporation officials for census purpose two years earlier were used as posters to encourage people to use public toilets and was pasted at areas like Pollachi, Kuruchi and Corporation toilets.

One of the lady petitioners told to the media that she had got married 2 years back and was now separated from her husband due to this issue.

The posters also show the photographs of some students who said that they were not able to attend the class since their colleagues teased them for the picture published by the district administration. T

hey further added that they were informed that the photos were being taken for census purposes and that they were not aware that their photos would be pasted on toilets.

Filing a petition with the Collector. Archana Patnaik they said the district administration should take immediate action to remove the posters wherever it has been pasted and to take stern action against the official concerned in this and register a case immediately.
