International conference on development policy to be held at Avinashilingam

At a time when the people of the country are facing major economic reforms brought in by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a well-timed conference will discuss how the different aspects of economy can be leveraged to the next level. The 7th international conference on ‘Development Policy: Leveraging Investment, Infrastructure and Intellectual Capital for Economic Development will be held on 15th and 16th December in association with the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chennai.

The event is being organised by the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women and The Institute of Finance Management, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. The event is coordinated by the Avinashilingam School of Management Technology.

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the event, which will be attended by renowned academicians, researchers, policy-makers, practitioners and bureaucrats, who will present papers and discuss the investment and economic development of the nation.

The conference would be a platform for discussion on economic development of both India and Tanzania, and hope to strengthen the global relationship in terms of discovering investment prospects, developing infrastructure and exchange of knowledge.

There will be two sessions – ‘Shaping Future Cities – Strategic Challenges’ and ‘GST and its Impact on Economic Development.’
