This has attracted Rs 1,500 cr of investment in IT and crossed cumulative exports of Rs 7,500 cr. We are in the process of creating 20,000 direct jobs and as many indirect jobs thereby establishing villages of Saravampatti and Keeranatham as locations of economic prosperity. Nevertheless lots more is to be done if Covai has to be propelled as the most preferred IT destination”.
