January 23, 2017
Police have taken into custody a man, who trespassed into the city airport and trying to board a Chennai-bound flight without ticket.
According to police, Rangarajan (35) of Perumbalur, with Australian Citizenship, was found near the flight around 5.30 p.m. yesterday and on demand failed to produce the ticket, for which he was taken into custody.
Preliminary investigation revealed that he had come with his family from Karur to the airport to board the flight, but forgotten that he had cancelled his ticket last minute.
Not convinced with his reply, police arrested him. However, he was released on bail last night. Further investigations are on.
