A large number of people gathered in front of the Universal Mobile at Gandhipuram in response to what they claim was an advertisement in leading dailies that mobile phones were being sold at Rs. 99.

This led to a traffic congestion and public complained to the police about this. Police personnel from B-15 Rathinapuri Station came to disperse the crowd.

The workers of the company said that they were aware of the advertisement given in the newspapers, but there was no such scheme like that.

The police said that investigation would be made about the publishing of the false advertisement.
