Three youth, including two teenagers, were taken into custody for interrogation, on charges of breaking the rear window screen of a bus by hurling liquor bottles, in the wee hours of today.

The driver of the Government bus, proceeding to Tiruchirapalli from here, stopped the vehicle, after hearing the sound and also screams of a few passengers, near Singanallur, around 3 a.m.

A few passengers got down and nabbed the youth who had hurled the liquor bottles and handed them over to the police, who rushed there on information.

Identified as Shyam (17) Bhoopathi (19) and Ajith (21), they were said to be under the influence of liquor. They were taken to the police station and were being interrogated.
