Sena convener Anbumari said children of the second and third generation of those opposed Hindi in the State were well versed in the language and their argument against it was only to gain political mileage and meant for the common people.
Even as political parties in Tamil Nadu opposing imposition of Hindi, Shaktisena, a Hindu outfit, today demanded that the Centre bring in a legislation making Hindi mandatory from primary to higher education system in the State.
Raising slogans in Hindi in support of their demand, the activists led by Anbumari, the convenor, said that while those in other states studying Hindi were able to get Central government jobs, whereas it was deprived for Tamil Nadu people.
Besides, the children, second and third generation of those opposed Hindi in the State were well versed in Hindi and their argument against the language was only to gain political mileage and meant for the common people, Anbumari said.
