Ten inmates of the Coimbatore Central Prison, as part of their good behaviour deal, today cleaned up the Coimbatore Special Court building complex, where the bomb blast cases are being heard.

In a press release, the Prison Superintendent D. Palani has said that the department has been organizing basic education, and yoga and meditation sessions for prisoners in order to reform them. The prisoners are also being given skill development training to help them earn a living after their release from prisons. Prisoners with good behaviour are deputed to clean government and public buildings including the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, and the court complexes each month, based on the suggestion from the Additional Director General of Police for Prisons, J.K. Tripathy.

As a part of the campaign, 10 inmates of the Coimbatore Central Prison cleaned the premises of the Special Court for Bomb Blast Cases, located behind the VOC Zoological Park. M. Senthilkumar, the Additional Superintendent of Prisons, Edwin Chandrababu, Prison Officer, and other prison authorities officials were present during the event.
