No change in schemes announced by Siddaramaiah: Parameshwara

Mangaluru: Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara has said that there will be no change in the schemes announced in Siddaramaiah’s last budget. Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at Dharmasthala’s Manjunath Swamy temple, Parameshwara clarified that Siddaramaiah’s schemes would continue.

“Normally, when a new government takes charge new schemes are usually announced. They will be announced by the CM in the next budget. New schemes will be announced but old schemes will not be modified,” he was quoted as saying by Vijay Karnataka.

When asked on Siddaramaiah being peeved over the new budget, Parameshwara said, “Ours is a coalition government, we have established a coordination committee. Siddaramaiah is the head of the committee. We have agreed to discuss our budget and other issues there.

This being the case, I haven’t heard any news about Siddaramaiah being unhappy. Neither me nor CM will take any unilateral decisions on government programmes.” Parameshwara said he was in constant touch with Siddaramaiah.
