Bengaluru: If all goes planned, women constables in Karnataka will sport pants instead of saree as their uniform. The government is planning to change their uniform following complaints that wearing saree during work is uncomfortable, reports Bangalore Mirror quoting Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar.
It is still being discussed at DGP level. In fact, uniforms of women constables in neighbouring states have undergone a change.
