The 10th edition of the International Textile Machinery, Accessories, Spares Exhibition, ‘Texfair 2016,’ will begin in Coimbatore on May 20. The exhibition will showcase modern developments in the textile industry.
The event is being organized by the Southern India Mills’ Association. Its chairman, M. Senthil Kumar said that 220 exhibitors, including textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipments, electrical and electronic components manufacturers from India, China, and Italy will participate in the four-day fair. The expo will be inaugurated by Dr. Palani G. Periasamy, President of Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Textile mills normally spend nearly three percent of their annual turnover on spares and accessories, and invest four to six percent of their annual revenue on modernization, he said.
Around one lakh visitors from all over the country, including managing directors, directors, executives, and Shop floor technicians of textile mills, are expected to visit the expo.
