147 Student Projects Highlight Innovation at PSG Polytechnic Expo 2026

The Students’ Project Expo – 2026 was successfully held at PSG Polytechnic College, aimed at promoting innovation and practical learning among students.

The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr.K.Prakasan, who highlighted the significance of hands-on knowledge and creativity in today’s competitive world. The Principal of the institution, Dr.B. Giriraj, presided over the function and encouraged students to actively engage in research-oriented activities.

A total of 147 projects from multiple departments—including Mechanical, Automobile, Foundry, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Textile, and Apparel Technology—were showcased.

The projects primarily focused on emerging areas such as automation, smart technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT). Students enthusiastically demonstrated and explained their innovations to visitors.
The projects were assessed by a panel of judges based on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, presentation, and real-time application.

The expo witnessed strong participation from faculty members, students, industry representatives, and school students. Live demonstrations and interactive sessions added to the vibrancy of the event.Awards and certificates were distributed to the best-performing teams by Dr. G. Chandramohan.

The Project Expo – 2026 concluded as a grand success, offering students a valuable platform to showcase their talents, build confidence, and gain exposure to current industry trends. The event once again highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and experiential learning.
