Chennai: Nearly 15 lakh candidates sat the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission examination held Sunday to select candidates for 5,451 vacant posts, including in the Group IV services.
The Public Service Commission released a set of instructions for the candidates ahead of the exam. The notification for this year’s exam was made in August and the application procedures were completed on September 14. The exam was in objective type and conducted over three hours.
The exam is being conducted for 2,345 junior assistant (nonsecurity), 121 junior assistant (security), 8 bill collector, 532 field surveyor, 327 draftsman, 1,714 typist and 404 steno typist posts.
