15 new Covid19 positive cases in Covai

Coimbatore, Jun 21 : A total of 15 fresh Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the city today, which include three men arrived from Chennai to a jewellery on Cross Cut Road on June 18.

According to district medical bulletin, a 28 year old man arrived from Chennai on June 17 was tested positive at a checkpost.

Similarly three men who arrived from Chennai on June 18 to a jewellery by road also tested positive at Cross Cut Road.

While a 68 year old man from Sirumugai tested positive in a private hospital, a 21 year old male from Kalapaatti and 50 year old male of
Vadasithur tested positive in ESI hospital.

A 55-year old man from Karumnukadai tested positive in a private hospital, 77 year old male from Velandipalayam and 54 year old female from Selvapuram tested positive in the Government Hospital here.

From Pollachi Government hospital, 25 year old male, hailing from Suleswarampatti and 28 year old female from Nadupuni tested positive.

A 35-year old female from Ramanathapuram, who had travelled from Theni a week ago tested positive in a private hospitel.

A nine year old boy and 25 year old female from Annur tested positive following high risk contact.

Meanwhile, of the 268 cases in Coimbatore, 164 have been discharged and 102 patients are under treatment, with two deaths.

In Erode of the 85 cases (7 today) 72 were discharged and 12 are under treatment, while in Nilgiris of the 29, 14 were discharged and remaining under treatment.

Similarly of the 335 actives cases till date (12 today) , 204 were discharged in Salem and 131 are in the hospital, whereas, with four new cases, Tirupur till date has 123 cases of which 116 were discharged and seven under treatment.
