18 dengue, 113 fever cases in CMCH

As many as 18 persons are undergoing treatment for dengue fever in special wards and 113 for fever in normal wards at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, according to Resident Medical Officer R. Soundravel.

There has been a drop in dengue cases compared to the last two weeks, he said.

Hospital sources said 113 persons admitted at CMCH for fever are undergoing various blood tests and in case found to be afflicted with dengue, they would be shifted to special wards.”

Health department authorities are taking steps and organising awareness campaign regularly, they said.
