2 die in road accident

A man and a woman were killed in a road accident when their motorcycle crashed into a cement-laden lorry late yesterday night at Podanur.
The victims – Praveen and Gayatri – were employees of a cell phone company. They were travelling on the Podanur-Chettipalayam road, and the lorry was coming into the city from Karur. While Gayatri was killed on the spot, a grievously injured Praveen died at the Government Hospital before the doctors could start treating him.
