25-foot-tall lighthouse made of fruits unveiled at Summer Festival

The 58th edition of the Fruit Show began in the Nilgiris district today. The two-day-long Fruit Show is part of the annual Summer Festival for tourists. Among its big attractions this time is the 25-foot-tall lighthouse made of pineapples and oranges.
It took 3000 kilos of fruits to make the lighthouse, measuring 10 feet wide. Another attraction this time is the boat made of 1000 kilos of grapes, both green and black. The boat measures 15 feet long and 10 feet wide.
Also featured are the statues of Kannagi, made with eight different kinds of fruits, two dragons, and an aquarium.
