Coimbatore: Three women auto drivers of Jugnoo were awarded ‘women of achievement’ by Rotary Club of Monarch, Coimbatore, recently. Meenakshi B, Suganya S and Sankaraswari S were honoured with the award aimed at encouraging and recognising women in the city.

In a statement, Jugnoo said was the country’s leading auto-rickshaw aggregator and the hyperlocal startup had encouraged women drivers to break social norms by giving them an opportunity to earn a consistent living.

Jugnoo Founder and CEO Samar Singla said, “Jugnoo is creating job  opportunities for the women in many tier II and tier III cities. At Jugnoo, we have around 41 per cent women workforce. Women in our company are leading the major teams like HR, investor relations and sales. We are also breaking the job stereotypes to encourage women auto-drivers and bike riders to work with Jugnoo.
