3-day short film fest in Coimbatore from March 13

Coimbatore : The 15th edition of the short fiIm festival Pathiugal will begin here from March 13.

The first day will have is a short-film competition for participants from all over South India with eminent film makers serving as jury members.

Cash awards are part of the competition for the best movie and in categories like direction, writing, cinematography, editing, sound design and acting, a statement from organisers, department of visual communication and electronic media of PSG College of Arts and Science, said today.

Short films and documentaries by department students will be screened for expert opinion followed by interactive session, on the second and third days, it said.

Eminent film personalities Gautham Vasudev Menon, Raju Murugan and Bharathan will be guests for the festival.
