In the past, people went to masters who would teach them yoga. However, in the contemporary era, different schools of yoga are leaving no stone unturned in order to attract people to enroll themselves to learn yoga. 136.1 Yoga Studio is one such place, with its own method and techniques.

136.1, is a chain of integrated yoga studios that teach the timeless art of yoga in swanky, state-of-the-art studios. 136.1 was started with the mission to make everyone feel lighter, fresher, and stronger, by offering group and personalized yoga sessions every week.​ Currently, the yoga studio has a presence in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Ahmedabad in India.

136.1 Yoga Studio is a place that teaches yoga from different schools including Hatha, Iyengar, Sivananda, Satyanada Yoga, and Power Yoga. The Coimbatore centre is located on Trichy Road. The studio measures 6,000 sq. ft. and has about 250 students. The oldest student is 92, and the youngest is six-years-old. The studio has international and Indian teachers and offers customized classes based on the health needs of the participants.

Their weight loss yoga classes have many takers. The routine includes deep breathing exercises, intensive movements, and posture development.

Recently, 136.1 Yoga Studio participated in the eight edition of Coimbatore Vizha. “As part of the programme, our yoga trainers Sneha and Aravind demonstrated a few basic yoga techniques. The trainers made the participants practice some breathing techniques. Also a few stretch exercises were demonstrated and the participants performed them in the presence of the trainers,” Senthil Kumar, franchises owner, 136.1 Yoga Studio, Coimbatore, says. About 50 people participated in this yoga session.
