The body of a 23-day-old baby, who was reported kidnapped, was recovered from a bucket at its house in Singanallur.

Last evening, 25-year-old Suganya, the wife of milk vendor Senthilkumar, raised an alarm that her 23-day-old baby daughter, who was asleep in their house at SMS Layout, was abducted by unknown persons.

The police rushed to the spot and began an extensive search at the house and the neighbourhood. The search ended soon after when they recovered the lifeless body of the infant in a plastic bucket filled with water.
