Administrative reshuffle begins; IAS, IPS officers transferred

Several IAS and IPS officers were transferred by the new AIADMK government today, with immediate effect, as part of its major reshuffle. New collectors have been appointed for eight districts in the state.
The districts of Salem, Dindigul, Vellore, Theni, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvarur, Pudhukottai, and Thirunelveli will get new collectors.
T.K. Rajendran replaces Ashutosh Shukla as the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai. J.K. Tripathy replaces C. Shylendra Babu as ADGP (Law and Order). Shylendra Babu returns to his former post of ADGP (Coastal Security). Karan Sinha, ADGP (Intelligence) has been posted as ADGP Crime Branch, CID Chennai.
The officials will take charge soon.
