Coimbatore – Friday, March 7,2025: Amazon showcased the potential of e-commerce exports to Coimbatore’s vibrant business community today, hosting its flagship event ‘Export Connect 2025’ in collaboration with Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) and Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC). The conference, attended by over 300 exporters from Coimbatore, Karur, Tirupur, and Erode, aimed to empower local MSMEs with knowledge and toolsshared by senior leaders from Amazon Global Selling, helping them expand their reach to global markets. Shri Anand Mohan Mishra, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, delivered an insightful keynote address, FIEO, and AEPC shared valuable industry perspectives. The event offered attendees insights into the prospects of exports with e-commerce and a chance to learn how to leverage Amazon Global Selling to access millions of customers across the world through the program. As well as guidance on registration, product listing, cross border logistics and payments and also advertising solutions. The event in Coimbatore today included deep-dive breakout sessions with live Q&A, along with one-on-one assistance, helping sellers get their questions answered by Amazon experts on topics ranging from compliance regulations and ad management to transporting products to Amazon fulfillment centers and more.
Tamil Nadu is a hub for global trade and is also a key market for Amazon Global Selling. Over 4,500 exporters from cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Kanchipuram, Erode among others in the State already use Amazon Global Selling to sell products across categories like home, kitchen, apparel and more to customers across the world.

The regional leg of Export Connect will host one-day conferences in cities like Coimbatore, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, and more. The program is designed to equip both new and experienced sellers with the essential tools to launch and scale their eCommerce exports globally. Attendees will benefit from educational sessions, hands-on support, and direct access to Amazon experts and trusted service providers. It serves as a gateway to the expanding e-commerce export opportunities from India.
This year Amazon is also further strengthening its Export Communities initiative, providing year-round support through local offline networks. These communities guide sellers in navigating the export process, scaling their businesses, and connecting with mentors. Export Connect, in collaboration with partners like AEPC and FIEO, serves as a bridge to the growing e-commerce export opportunity, empowering Indian sellers to reach global customers with ‘Made in India’ products to hundreds of millions of customers in 18+ Amazon global marketplaces across the world with the help of Amazon’s solutions like Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Amazon Global Selling, technology-based tools, resources, etc.

The Export Communities will function as accessible, local offline networks designed for MSMEs who are either currently engaged in e-commerce exports or planning to venture into this space. The communities will serve a dual purpose: assist prospective exporters in initiating their e-commerce export journey while simultaneously helping existing sellers scale their export operations through comprehensive support including guidance, training, mentorship, and hands-on assistance. These will be developed under DGFT’s leadership, and each Export Community will have participation from multiple stakeholders including government agencies, third party service providers, manufacturers, existing and prospective e-commerce exporters, export bodies, and Amazon Global Selling.
