Ananya Group Renovates Kalappanaikenpalayam Govt. Union Higher Secondary School at Rs 75 Lakh Cost in Mark of Schools Centenary Celebrations

COIMBATORE, March 2, 2026 : Somaiyampalayam Panchayat Union Middle School in Periyanayakkanpalayam Union received a major infrastructure upgrade with renovation works worth Rs 75 lakh undertaken by the Ananya Group under its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The upgraded facilities were inaugurated on Monday as part of the school’s centenary celebrations. The event also marked the opening of the newly renovated classrooms and canteen, along with an appreciation ceremony for the Ananya Group.

Coimbatore District Collector Mr. Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar inaugurated the renovated buildings and released the Kalvi Malar souvenir. Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. M. Sivaguru Prabakaran attended as special guest. Chief Educational Officer Mr. R. Balamurali was present at the function.

Ananya Group Joint Managing Director Srimathi Uma Maheshwari Yuvaraj said the company had contributed Rs 75 lakh to modernise the school infrastructure and improve student amenities. He expressed hope that the improved facilities would motivate students to excel academically and assured continued support for educational development.

District Primary Education Officer P. Iravichandran, District Educational Officers R. Rajendran and C. Rajammal, Perur Deputy Superintendent of Police K. Selladurai and Vadavalli Inspector K. P. Saratha were among those present.

The celebrations concluded with cultural performances by students and prize distribution, with teachers, parents and local residents attending in large numbers.
