Avila Convent all set for golden jubilee finale

Avila Convent Matriculation Higher Secondary School has lined up a host of activities to mark its ‘Golden Jubilee Finale’ from 27 to 29 January. Around 3,539 students, 94 teachers and 33 administrative staff is all set to put up a terrific show.
Avila inaugurated its Golden Jubilee Year on 13 November 2015, in which 50 social projects were decided to be accomplished in collaboration with the alumni of the school, which have been successfully completed.
Some of the major projects were 10 houses for the homeless in Kinathukadavu area, empowerment of widows, 20 toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, funds for marriages, medical and educational expenses for the financially challenged, and financial and moral support to five orphanages in Anaikatti rural area.
Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Superstar Mohanlal, Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development S.P. Velumani, Dr. C. Sylendra Babu IPS, Dr. A. Amalraj, Commissioner of Police, along with other dignitaries will grace the occasion.
