Bank of Baroda signs MoU with PSG CAS

PSG College of Arts and Science, which is under the PSG Son’s Charities, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank of Baroda.

A joint press release from both the organizations said that the overall objectives of this MoU are to increase productivity of farmers, efficient management of the natural resources and its better realization in farm, value addition to food and food products, use of technology for horticulture and floriculture through research in niche areas of agriculture, and agro-product development with an ultimate aim of improving the reach of technologies to the farmers at an affordable cost and benefit.

The areas of research would focus on organic farming, contract farming, micro irrigation, green house cultivation, food processing technology, allied activities and improved cold storage, and logistics solution. GB Bhuyan, General Manager (Rural & Agri. Banking), Bank of Baroda and Dr. R. Rajendran, Principal, PSG-CAS signed the MoU.

There are also plans to establish a PSG CAS – Bank of Baroda innovation research lab to promote entrepreneurship among students.
