Coimbatore, July 30 — The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, in partnership with M/s Suez Project Private Limited, conducted a consumer awareness program at Sowdeshwari Nagar in Ward 74 of the West Zone to highlight the transformative benefits of the city’s 24×7 Water Supply Project. Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director, SUEZ-24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore announced, about 98% of the works have been completed and the remaining works will be finalized by the end of August 2026. Speaking at the event, P. Gopalakrishnan, Team Leader of the IE cum PMC, emphasized the importance of continuous water supply. He explained that with round-the-clock availability of safe “Drink from Tap” (DFT) quality water, consumers can directly connect water to their kitchens for drinking and cooking. The high-pressure supply ensures water reaches domestic overhead tanks without the need for sumps or pumps, saving households electricity costs. Importantly, the water tariff remains unchanged and will continue to be billed as per metered consumption.Ward 74 Councillor. A.S. Shankar proudly noted that his ward is fully covered under the project and urged residents to take full advantage of facilities comparable to those in developed nations. Corporation Junior Engineer.
