BJP cabinet comes campaigning to Tamil Nadu

With campaign deadline fast approaching, some of the biggest names of the BJP’s central cabinet, including Venkaiah Naidu, Rajnath Singh, and Smriti Irani, have descended on Tamil Nadu to address the last moment rallies all over the state.

Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu campaigned in the morning today for BJP’s Tiruttani candidate, Chakravarthy. He is scheduled to address meetings in Pallavaram, Chennai, and will be joined by Amit Shah, the BJP party president.

After completing his rally in Chennai, the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh headed to Ambur and Sankagiri earlier today. Late in the evening, he is set to address a gathering in Chengalpattu. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was in Tuticorin district.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal took charge of campaigning in Kiliyoor, Colachel and Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district. Prakash Javadekar campaigned in Sivakasi and Rajapalayam.

Union Minister for Commerce Nirmala Seetharaman campaigned at Nagapattinam and Kumbakonam. Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan received campaign help from Union HRD Minister Smrithi Irani in Chennai city’s Virugambakkam constituency. Irani had also campaigned in Chennai Harbour and Royapuram constituencies.
