Coimbatore : Stating that an inclusive alliance will be in place in Tamil Nadu for the coming general elections soon, BJP National General Secretary, N Muralidhar Rao on Monday challenged anybody to show in the last 70 years the kind of development and welfare BJP has shown in such a short span of time.

“We are ready to discuss and debate the issue, as Narendra Modiji government has exceedingly down well for Tamil Nadu,” Rao told reporters here.

The infrastructure, smart cities and welfare programmes or Tamil Pride and language, Sri Lankan Tamil issue in Tamil Nadu during the NDA government, he said and threw a dare to the opposition parties to compare the government’s contribution in the short span of five years.

In the coming days, in Tamil Nadu BJP will stand for Tamil pride and identity, both equally sacred as sacred as Indian identity. Indian identity is incomplete without strong Tamil identity, Rao said adding that as far as Tamil language, it is in no way second to Hindi and there is no scope for misinformation and misimpression.

With regard to alliance, he said that BJP was serious about Tamil Nadu elections as part of general elections.

As already told by Narendra Modi, BJP is open to alliance in Tamil Nadu, he said.

Stating that BJP has in the past worked with different parties, Rao said “we are engaged with a few parties about the discussion of alliance. Soon we will come out with the breadth and width of the alliance and it will be an inclusive alliance. ”
