Camp on obesity and diabetes

Gem Hospital and Research Centre will host a free medical camp for obesity and diabetes on October 24. This camp, open to public, will be organized at the hospital from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patients will be screened free of cost for diabetes and obesity.
Dr. Praveen Raj will counsel those with obesity and diabetes related problems. Those suffering from the ailment will also be advised treatment options available.
“Obesity and diabetes are no longer restricted to adults. These diseases have become a major concern in the developing nations as well. India will very soon become the diabetic capital of the world. Through the medical camp we would like to spread awareness about obesity and diabetes,”Dr Raj said.
