Casagrand launches skill development project

Coimbatore : To tackle the acute shortage of technical workers in the construction industry, Casagrand Academy, a learning and development unit of Casagrand Builders, Monday launched of its first skill development project –‘LEAD’ (Learn Enhance Advance & Deploy) here..

A one-of-its-kind initiative, the LEAD was launched in association with Sri Ramakrishna Mission Polytechnic College and Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, with the signing of MoUs between Casagrand and the colleges in the presence of Rajeshkumar Ganesan, Senior Vice President – Human Resource, Casagrand Builders Pvt. Ltd., Dr. C Ramaswamy, Secretary – NIA Institutions and, Swami Anapekshananda, Correspondent, SRKV Polytechnic College and ITI, at Periyanaickenpalayam..

‘LEAD’ has been specially designed and developed by the experts of the Academy which aims to cater to the youth talent that have aptitude to achieve their goals.

In the first batch, 20 students have been selected based on their competency for this program and will undergo 90 days exclusive Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) training that comprises 60 days of classroom, practical training and thirty days of on-the-job training modules, Rajeshkumar told reporters.

Post successful completion of training; they will be appointed in Casagrand Builders Pvt. Ltd. as full-time employees, he said.

The main objective of this initiative is to nurture young talent specially those who come from humble backgrounds and turn them into highly skilled professionals by providing full-time career opportunities.

The entire course fee will be borne by Academy and during the training period students will be provided a stipend of rs,7,500 each, Rajeshkumar said.
