Chief of Air Staff visits Sulur base

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa today complimented the personnel in two Air Force establishments here for their sustained efforts in making them ready for fighter operations by 2018 and for effectively meeting the transportation task in support of the island territories.

Dhanoa was on a two-day tour to the establishments – 43 Wing and 5 Base Repair Depot at Sulur.

He lauded the efforts of the depot towards the maintenance of AVRO, Dornier fleets and calibration of aircraft testers of the entire Air Force through its Mobile Air Transportable Calibration Laboratory for its clockwork precision, a release said.

The effort put in by the Sarang Helicopter Display team towards showcasing the Air Force Display prowess was appreciated, it said.

During his interaction with the Air Warriors, the Air Chief reiterated that all out efforts will be made to improve their working and living environment and expressed happiness over the morale and motivation of the Air Warriors being high, which is crucial for any fighting force.

Dhanoa reviewed the operational, maintenance activities and progress made towards the infrastructural development at the Station.

He was received by Air Commodore Sunil Kumar, Air Officer Commanding 43 Wing and Air Commodore GSPN Chowdary, Air Officer Commanding 5 BRD Air Force.
