Coimbatore FICCI FLO hosts 2nd National Governing Body Meeting “VANAKKAM KOVAI” in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, July 21, 2025 = FICCI FLO Coimbatore, under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Dr. Aparna Sunku, is proud to host “VANAKKAM KOVAI,” the 2nd National Governing Body Meeting of FICCI FLO for the year 2025–26. This prestigious national event, set against the culturally rich backdrop of Coimbatore, brings together FLO leaders, members, and dignitaries from across India.
The Governing Body Meeting will be presided over by Ms. Poonam Sharma, National President, FICCI FLO, along with the Presidium, Secretariat, Past Presidents, and Chapter Chairs. The warm welcome and meticulous planning stay true to the spirit of Tamil Nadu, offering a rich experience in leadership, community and culture.
The convenors of Vanakkam Kovai are past Chairpersons Ms. Suguna Ravichandran and Ms. Poonam Bafna, whose tireless efforts have transformed this gathering into a meaningful celebration of progress and empowerment.
Several impactful initiatives are being spotlighted at this event : Mental Health First Aid Certification Program: An online initiative led by Past Chairperson Ms. Swathy Rohit to build certified child counsellors and address emotional wellness at the grassroots.
Rural Livelihood Project – Anaikatti : FLO Coimbatore, in collaboration with Mukul Madhav Foundation, is distributing goat units to 40 tribal families with training support for goat-rearing and vermicomposting – Chair: Dr. Kamini Surendaran
Cycle Distribution Drive: FLO is distributing bicycles to underprivileged school-going girls to reduce dropout rates and improve access to education.
Start-Up Pitch Contest: In collaboration with TiE, FLO Coimbatore has launched a pitch contest for women-led startups, with 40+ entries. The final round will take place in September – Chair: Ms. Ranjana Singhal
Spiritual & Cultural Offsite – Madurai & Rameshwaram: Delegates will also visit two of Tamil Nadu’s most sacred temples, fostering bonding and spiritual reflection.
A vibrant Vanakkam Kovai Bazaar, press interactions, cultural evening featuring the iconic Lola Kutty, and fellowship dinner will further add to the richness of this multi-dimensional gathering.
