Coimbatore-Palani spl passenger train from tomorrow

Catering to the long-pending demand of passengers, the railways is to operate a special passenger train between Coimbatore and Palani for three months.
The train, starting from tomorrow, using the rack of Madurai Palani Passenger train via Podanur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Udumalpet, will have nine unreserved second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
It would be run on the newly converted Broad Gauge line between Podanur and Pollachi, an official release said here.
Train 06709 will leave Coimbatore Junction at 1.45 pm to reach Palani at 4.40 and train 06710 will leave Palani at 10.45 am and arrive
at here at 2 pm, it said.

Consequently, train 06081/06082 Coimbatore Pollachi Special passenger services will stand cancelled from tomorrow.
