Coimbatore police thanks residents for RS Puram station national achievement

Officers of the City Police expressed their gratitude to residents of RS Puram police limits for giving them good remarks which helped them to achieve the ‘Best Police Station award’ in smart police stations category at national level recently.

Officers expressed their gratitude at a felicitation function organised by Jagannath textiles at Radisson Blu yesterday. Officers of the B2 RS Puram Police Station were felicitated for achieving the ‘Best Police Station’ in the country award in the Smart Police category. District Collector TN Hariharan felicitated the officers.

Addressing the gathering Ramesh Kumar Tibrewal, MD, Jagannath textiles said, “This is another golden feather added to the cap of the city.”

Jyothi, Inspector, B2 RS Puram Police station said,”We won the award not just because of our good work, but also because of public cooperation.”

Veerammal, Inspector, All Women Police Station also thanked the public for their support and also mentioned the support offered by senior Police officials to achieve this award.

DC Law and Order Lakshmi said, “The mentality of people visiting police stations have changed now and people come to station today with the idea of visiting a friend.” She also said, ” We are public servants and in future let’s aim to achieve this award for all police stations. “She mentioned that participation was the main aim of taking part in the award and winning was secondary.

Traffic DC Sujit Kumar said that though he is from Bihar, he was surprised to see the trust people here have on Police.

K Periaiah, City Police Commissioner said, “People of Coimbatore are rejoicing this moment and RS Puram Police station has achieved historical win.” He said that Police is meant to serve the public and RS Puram Police station officers has rightly understood this. He also said that we advise people to wear helmets so that they could be safe.

District Collector TN Hariharan said, “This award brought laurels to the whole state and this has made the city proud.” He also said that though there are Police stations of superior infrastructure in other States, it is the way in which RS Puram Police Station handled the complainants helped them achieve the award.
