RAKS Sports Arena has added another feather to its cap as its shuttler Nikhil delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026 held in Bengaluru, earning medals in two events and securing a coveted place in the Junior Indian Team for the upcoming ABC Asian Badminton Championships at Chengdu, China.

The national ranking tournament,one of India’s most prestigious junior badminton events, also served as the selection tournament for the upcoming ABC Asian Badminton Championships, attracting the country’s finest young badminton talent.

Competing in the Under-17 category, Nikhil showcased exceptional skill, determination and consistency to win the Gold Medal in the Under-17 Mixed Doubles and the Bronze Medal in the Under-17 Boys’ Doubles. His impressive performance earned him selection to the Junior Indian Team, marking a major milestone in his sporting career.

Nikhil has been training at RAKS Sports Arena for the past seven years,where he has steadily developed into one of the country’s promising young badminton players through disciplined training and dedicated coaching. His latest achievement stands as a testament to his hard work, perseverance and commitment to excellence.

The academy has consistently produced talented players who have represented India at the international level. Earlier, shuttlers Hariharan, Ruben and Arul, all trained at RAKS Sports Arena, earned selection to represent India at the same championship, continuing the academy’s proud tradition of nurturing athletes capable of competing and excelling on the international stage.
